Morning Star Home Care Services started in 2017. A nurse named Ruth Karebu received a license to operate a small home care business in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She hoped to help the senior population, and anyone else in need of care, be able to stay in the comfort of their own homes. This could be accomplished by providing a kind compassionate person, trained to come into their homes and assist with everyday tasks. Truly family-oriented, Ruth started the business with her husband Samuel Wanjau, and her daughter Miriam Smith. Together, they work daily to provide their dedicated Direct Care workers with the materials they need to help the clients thrive at home.
We are a non-skilled, non-medical home care company. After an in-home consultation is conducted, we send out Direct Care Workers that have been trained according to Department of Health mandated regulations to care for the clients’ needs in their homes. The care we provide is anything from medication reminders, bathing, respite care, and even light housekeeping.
